Overview
We are looking for a data-driven
Strategic Financial Analyst, who will be an integral part of our finance team. Reporting to the Manager of Strategic Finance, this individual will play a critical role on a team that combines strategy, advanced analytics and financial analyses to enable the Company to scale successfully.
The ideal candidate has a strong FP&A foundation with demonstrated expertise in modern finance tools and techniques , including SQL, Python, and advanced data visualization platforms. This role requires someone who can work with large, complex datasets spanning multiple years, identify meaningful correlations across disparate data sources, and translate these insights into actionable forecasting models. You'll be building the analytical foundation for how we forecast renewals, non-renewal bookings, and customer behavior - moving beyond traditional methods to leverage statistical modeling and eventually AI/ML techniques.
This individual must be highly analytical, and process oriented with excellent communication/collaboration skills, and a proven track record of synthesizing and simplifying complex issues for diverse stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Accounting, Sales, and Renewals to drive GTM strategy as well as strategic finance initiatives
- Drive strategic decision making by providing actionable insights through reporting and ad hoc analyses
- Extract, transform, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources using Fabric, SQL and Python
- Perform 2nd and 3rd order analysis on large datasets using modern finance tools to move beyond surface-level metrics and uncover deeper insights into business drivers and performance trends
- Design and implement predictive analytics models for revenue forecasting, churn prediction, and customer lifetime value
- Create, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI or similar visualization tools
- Build automated financial models and dashboards using Python, SQL, and advanced Excel techniques
- Implement automation solutions to streamline financial processes and reduce manual reporting efforts
- Leverage Python scripts and automation tools to enhance data accuracy and reporting efficiency
- Build multiple forecast scenarios with business partner input, leveraging statistical modeling and sensitivity analyses
- Identify, recommend and drive process improvement initiatives to enable efficiencies and scale across the organization
- Explore and implement agentic solutions for repeatable financial processes, leveraging AI automation to handle routine decision-making tasks and free up time for strategic analysis
- Develop and/or enhance key metrics that bring insightful and actionable insights
- Assist in the preparation of management reports and monthly/quarterly financial updates
- Perform complex ad hoc analyses as needed, utilizing advanced statistical techniques and data mining methods
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related field
- 3 - 5 years in varying Strategic Finance or FP&A roles, SaaS experience strongly preferred
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis
- Working knowledge of Python for financial modeling, data analysis, and automation (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn)
- Experience with AI/ML forecasting models and predictive analytics
- Familiarity with modern data stack tools (Snowflake, dbt, Looker, etc.)
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms)
- Experience building financial models that integrate with data warehouses and BI platforms
- Knowledge of statistical modeling techniques and their application to financial forecasting
- Deep understanding of SaaS business models and GTM metrics (Rule of 40, Net Revenue Retention, Renewal Calculations, etc.)
- Prior experience with Financial Reporting systems, Adaptive Planning a plus
- Prior business partnering experience, or demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional leaders strongly preferre
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively translate for non-finance audiences of varying levels
- Superior analytical and modeling skills, including advanced proficiency in Excel
