Strategic Communications & PR Lead

Location: Blue Blocks Montessori School / Blue Blocks Micro Research Institute, Hyderabad (Full-Time, Onsite)

The Role Blue Blocks Montessori School and the Blue Blocks Micro Research Institute are seeking a high-energy, early-career Strategic Communications & PR professional. This is a hands-on role reporting to the Research Team Lead, perfect for a versatile storyteller with 0 to 3 years of experience who is ready to bridge the gap between deep educational research and mainstream public interest.

You will be the primary engine driving our public narrative, responsible for high-volume content creation and securing media placements that put our applied research on the global map.

Core Responsibilities

• High-Volume Content Creation: Manage a daily output of at least 5 articles/blog posts and 8 social media posts across LinkedIn and Twitter/X.
• Media Outreach & PR: Proactively pitch research-based stories and opinion pieces to international and national media outlets.
• Global Networking: Build and maintain a database of journalists, editors, and educational influencers.
• Creative Storytelling: Translate complex pedagogical concepts into engaging narratives for parents and academic audiences.
• Multimedia Content: Handle basic video editing for Instagram Reels/Shorts to support school events and research highlights.

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience: 0–3 years in Journalism, Mass Communication, or PR.
• The Versatile Writer: You have a chameleon writing style—able to write a technical research summary in the morning and a heart-centred school update in the afternoon.
• Journalistic Grit: You know how to find the hook in a story and have the persistence to follow up with editors.
• Digital Native: You are comfortable with basic video editing tools and understand social media growth.
• Self-Starter: You thrive in an independent environment where you can take a brief and run with it.
