The Opportunity
Ensure efficient and cost-effective Production results that meet order demand, specifications, quality, and planning targets through the coordination and management of plant equipment, personnel, and production process (quantity, quality, budgeted cost and proper productivity level). Ensures policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers, and stakeholders.
How you'll make an impact
- Oversee daily store activities including receipt, inspection, storage, and issue of materials.
- Ensure proper tagging, binning, and material identification as per SOPs.
- Monitor material movements to maintain FIFO practices.
- Verify GRNs (Goods Receipt Notes) and coordinate with quality and purchase teams for any discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels through regular cycle counts and annual physical stock-taking.
- Investigate stock variances and implement corrective measures.
- Ensure timely updating of ERP/WMS systems for every transaction.
- Track slow-moving, excess, obsolete, and non-moving items and report regularly.
- Lead, guide, and train storekeepers, helpers, and material handlers.
- Prepare duty rosters and allocate work to ensure smooth operations.
- Support team development, discipline, and performance monitoring.
- Coordinate closely with Production, Planning, Purchase, Quality, Maintenance, and Dispatch teams.
- Ensure timely material availability to avoid production downtime.
- Escalate supply issues or shortages proactively.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, SOPs, ISO/5S/Lean standards.
- Maintain housekeeping in stores as per 5S methodology.
- Ensure safe handling of materials, including hazardous goods.
- Prepare and share daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
- Track KPIs such as stock accuracy, material issue time, GRN closure, and storage utilization.
- Support audits (internal/external) with accurate documentation.
- Ensure packaging meets quality and safety standards to prevent transit damage.
- Verify that vehicles meet safety norms and comply with loading procedures.
- You will be ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background
- BE/BTech in Electrical/Mechanical engineering.
- Minimum 6 to 8 years of experience in Power Transformer manufacturing and Stores Management. Knowledge of Project Management is an added advantage.
- Must have previously demonstrated complete knowledge of production activities.
- Familiarity with IATF16949, ISO14001, and OSHA regulations.
- Must demonstrate excellent verbal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and coordinate team efforts to accomplish goals.
- Ability to operate and deliver results in a multi-cultural environment.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required
