Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Stores Inspector role based in Mumbai. Stores Inspector roles also exist for Delhi, Ahmedabad, and Hosur.

The Stores Inspector will oversee the receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance of aviation parts and materials according to company protocols and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include performing inventory management, maintaining accurate documentation, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards, and coordinating with other departments to meet operational requirements. The role also involves supervising proper stocking methods to ensure safe and organized storage, as well as managing audits and stock evaluation processes.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming materials against purchase orders, track, and report damages/ discrepancies to the procurement team.
  • Rigorously inspect incoming goods and apply the appropriate tags as per MOE for release.
  • Ensure proper storage of all items, monitor and maintain accurate records of equipment shelf life and calibration details.
  • Maintain records of release and shipping documents for all items received in Bonded store.
  • Undertake regular in-house audits and share comprehensive reports with the Stores Manager.
  • Generate and share material reports with customers as per contractual agreements.
  • Ensure that Stores, maintenance records, and warehouse are maintained in a clean and organized manner.
  • Ensure systematic and planned storage of all parts and equipment, in a manner that promotes stock rotation.
  • Issue materials to Line maintenance in accordance with MMRs (Material Movement Requests).
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of Dangerous Goods (DG) and Electrostatic Discharge (ESDS) mechanisms
  • Other tasks or responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor/ Manager.

Qualifications

  • DGCA-approved AME Course/ Aeronautical Engineer/ Diploma Holder
  • At least 1-3 Year experience in airline/ MRO/ Supply chain operations (technical inventory etc.)
  • Familiar with ERP and other similar processes

Skills Required

  • Strong knowledge of aircraft parts, Dangerous Goods, ESDS, and specialized aircraft tools.
  • Apply established processes to streamline maintenance while ensuring strict compliance with procedures and quality standards.
  • Recognize the importance of occurrence reporting, data accuracy, and defect identification, with a clear focus on mitigating safety risks in the work environment.
