Store & Procurement Engineer

Location: Peenya, Bengaluru

Department: Supply Chain & Operations

About the Role

Niqo Robotics is looking for a proactive Store & Procurement Engineer to manage day-to-day store operations, procurement activities, and inventory control at our manufacturing facility in Peenya. The ideal candidate should have a Mechanical Engineering background with hands-on experience in procurement, warehouse management, and inventory control within a manufacturing environment.

The role involves ensuring uninterrupted material availability for production, maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating with suppliers, and supporting efficient warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

Store Operations

  • Manage day-to-day store activities, including material receipt, storage, issue, and dispatch.
  • Ensure accurate inventory transactions in the ERP system.
  • Maintain proper identification, storage, and traceability of materials.
  • Perform cycle counts and physical inventory verification.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and investigate stock discrepancies.
  • Monitor minimum stock levels and coordinate timely replenishment.
  • Ensure FIFO/FEFO practices wherever applicable.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping and safety standards within the store.

Procurement

  • Raise purchase requisitions and purchase orders as per production requirements.
  • Identify and develop vendors for mechanical, electrical, and standard components.
  • Obtain quotations, evaluate suppliers, and negotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial terms.
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Follow up on pending purchase orders and expedite critical items.
  • Maintain procurement records and vendor documentation.

Inventory & Material Planning

  • Track inventory consumption and monitor material availability.
  • Coordinate with Production, Planning, and Engineering teams to ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Maintain inventory records for raw materials, bought-out parts, consumables, and spare parts.
  • Support BOM verification and material reconciliation.
  • Handle warranty returns, rejected materials, and non-moving inventory.

Coordination

  • Work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Finance teams.
  • Coordinate with logistics partners for inbound material deliveries.
  • Ensure all material movements are properly documented and recorded.
  • Support internal and external inventory audits.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Stores, Procurement, or Inventory Management in a manufacturing company.
  • Experience handling mechanical, electrical, and electronic components.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle ERP experience preferred).
  • Good understanding of procurement processes, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
