Job Summary
We are looking for a person who can establish, manage, and continuously improve all store and inventory management operations for a greenfield medical device manufacturing facility, ensuring compliance with ISO 13485, GMP, and regulatory requirements. The role involves setting up store infrastructure, systems, and processes from the ground up, implementing SAP and Tally ERP, and leading a team to achieve operational excellence.
Role Description
1. Greenfield Project Setup
Lead the planning and setup of the entire stores function for the new manufacturing facility. Design and implement the store layout, storage systems, and material flow processes. Define and document SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for material handling, receipt, storage, and dispatch. Coordinate with project, QA, and RA teams to ensure store design meets regulatory and safety requirements. Support ERP system setup (SAP and Tally ERP integration) for inventory management and reporting.
2.Store Operations & Inventory Management
Oversee receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance of raw materials, consumables, and finished goods. Maintain accurate stock records in SAP and Tally, ensuring real-time updates and reconciliation. Implement FIFO principles and ensure segregation of materials as per QA/QC guidelines. Conduct regular physical stock verifications and ensure 100% stock accuracy. Optimize inventory levels and control non-moving/obsolete stock.
3.Documentation & Compliance
Develop and maintain all store-related documentation in compliance with ISO 13485, GMP, and company policies. Ensure traceability of all materials through proper identification, labeling, and batch recording. Participate in audits and ensure timely closure of observations.
4.Systems & Process Implementation
Implement and maintain SAP module for material management Create and monitor system-based workflows for material receipt, issue, and reconciliation. Prepare and present periodic MIS reports (inventory, consumption trends, stock variance, etc.). Continuously evaluate and improve store efficiency through automation and best practices.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Proven experience in setting up stores and inventory systems for a greenfield project. Strong working knowledge of SAP (MM module) and Tally ERP. In-depth understanding of ISO 13485, GMP, and regulatory compliance in medical device manufacturing. Excellent organizational, analytical, and leadership skills. Proficiency in MS Office and data reporting tools. Strong communication and coordination abilities across departments.
Qualifications
Education:
Graduate / Diploma in Materials Management, Supply Chain, or Engineering.
Experience: 810 years in inventory or materials management, with at least 23 years of experience in setting up stores or supply chain operations for a greenfield or brownfield project in a regulated industry (medical devices, pharma, or healthcare equipment)
