Job Title: Store Manager Fashion Retail
Department: Retail Operations
Reports To: Area / Cluster Manager
Job Purpose
The Store Manager is responsible for driving sales performance, ensuring excellent customer experience, managing store operations, and leading the team to achieve business targets while maintaining brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Performance
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
- Drive key KPIs such as conversion, ATV, UPT, and footfall productivity
- Execute promotions, markdowns, and seasonal sales effectively
- Analyze sales reports and take corrective actions
Customer Experience
- Ensure high standards of customer service and store ambience
- Handle customer complaints and escalations professionally
- Build customer loyalty through engagement and repeat visits
Team Management & People Development
- Recruit, train, and onboard store staff
- Plan duty rosters, manage attendance, and control attrition
- Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching
- Motivate the team through daily briefings and incentives
Store Operations
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, policies, and compliance requirements
- Manage cash handling, billing accuracy, and loss prevention
- Oversee store opening and closing procedures
- Coordinate with HO for audits, VM, HR, and IT support
Visual Merchandising
- Implement VM guidelines as per brand standards
- Ensure attractive displays and timely refresh of merchandise
- Monitor stock placement and size availability on the floor
Inventory Management
- Maintain optimal stock levels and size ratios
- Conduct periodic stock counts and audits
- Minimize shrinkage, damages, and stock discrepancies
- Coordinate inter-store transfers and replenishments

- Basic computer skills (POS, MS Excel, retail systems)

Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate in any discipline (MBA Retail preferred)
- 58 years of experience in fashion retail, with at least 23 years as Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager
