We are looking for an experienced Store Manager from the pet industry to handle complete store operations at our Chandigarh store. The role involves managing sales, ensuring SOP adherence, maintaining inventory, and leading store staff while delivering excellent customer experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesStore Operations & SOPs
- Manage day-to-day store operations as per company SOPs
- Ensure store hygiene, visual merchandising, and product display standards
- Handle store opening/closing procedures and daily operational checks
- Ensure compliance with company policies and retail processes
Sales & Customer Experience
- Drive in-store sales and achieve daily/monthly targets
- Handle walk-in customers and provide accurate pet product guidance
- Recommend products based on pet breed, age, and specific needs
- Resolve customer queries and complaints professionally
- Train staff on upselling and cross-selling techniques
Inventory & Stock Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels
- Handle inward/outward stock, GRNs, and stock reconciliation
- Conduct regular stock audits and coordinate with warehouse for replenishment
- Monitor expiry dates and prevent stock loss or damage
Team Management
- Manage store staff attendance, shifts, and task allocation
- Train team on product knowledge, SOPs, and customer handling
- Monitor staff performance and maintain discipline on the floor
Reporting & Coordination
- Share daily sales, inventory, and operational reports with HO
- Coordinate with operations, warehouse, and marketing teams
- Support in-store promotions and brand activities
Skills & Experience Required
- Prior experience in pet industry / pet retail (mandatory)
- Strong understanding of pet products and customer needs
- Experience handling store sales, inventory, and staff
- Good communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in a retail environment with targets
