The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing daily store and warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, accurate stock records, and smooth inward and outward material movement. The role requires close coordination with procurement, warehouse, and operations teams to maintain optimal stock levels while ensuring proper storage, safety, and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities (KRAs)Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure availability of materials at all times
Maintain accurate stock records for raw materials, finished goods, and consumables
Conduct regular stock audits, physical verification, and cycle counts
Identify and minimize stock discrepancies, damages, and losses
Handle inward material entries by verifying quantities against purchase orders and invoices
Ensure proper documentation such as GRN (Goods Receipt Note) and delivery challans
Manage outward material dispatch as per requirements and delivery schedules
Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods
Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records in ERP/software systems
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock and inventory reports
Ensure proper filing and documentation for audit purposes
Track stock movements and maintain transaction history
Work closely with procurement teams for timely material planning and replenishment
Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams for smooth material flow
Communicate stock shortages, excess inventory, or discrepancies proactively
Support internal teams with inventory-related information and updates
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and categorization of materials
Maintain cleanliness and organization within the store area
Follow FIFO (First In First Out) or FEFO practices where applicable
Ensure safe handling of materials and adherence to safety guidelines
Ensure compliance with company policies and standard operating procedures
Assist during internal and external audits
Suggest improvements to enhance store efficiency and inventory accuracy
Implement best practices for inventory control and warehouse management
Graduate in any discipline
Preference for candidates with Supply Chain / Logistics / Commerce background
1–3 years of experience in store or warehouse management
Knowledge of inventory management systems and processes
Basic computer proficiency (MS Excel, ERP systems)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good organizational and time management skills
Ability to coordinate with multiple teams
Basic understanding of documentation and reporting
Inventory accuracy and record maintenance
Timely inward and outward processing
Reduction in stock discrepancies and losses
Audit readiness and compliance
Efficiency in coordination and reporting
