The Store Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a premium mobile and laptop showroom. This role involves managing the staff, maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring excellent customer service, meeting sales targets, and handling daily reporting. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, good product knowledge of smartphones, laptops, and accessories, and the ability to ensure smooth retail operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Store Operations Management
- Supervise and ensure smooth functioning of daily store operations.
- Maintain showroom standards, product display, cleanliness, and overall customer experience.
- Ensure proper opening and closing procedures of the store.
- Monitor footfall, assist customers when required, and ensure quick issue resolution.
- Sales & Customer Service
- Achieve monthly sales targets and promote premium products.
- Train the team on upselling, cross-selling, and handling high-value customers.
- Address customer queries, complaints, and after-sales issues with professionalism.
- Maintain strong product knowledge on mobiles, laptops, tablets, and accessories.
- Staff Handling & Team Leadership
- Manage, guide, and motivate sales executives and support staff.
- Prepare staff schedules, assign duties, and ensure optimum manpower utilization.
- Conduct regular team meetings to review performance and give feedback.
- Train new joiners on store policies, product features, and customer service.
- Inventory & Stock Management
- Oversee daily stock levels, stock inward/outward, and stock audits.
- Ensure no stock discrepancies and maintain updated inventory in the system.
- Coordinate with the procurement team for stock requirements and replenishments.
- Track fast-moving and slow-moving items to plan promotions accordingly.
- Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare daily sales reports, inventory reports, and staff performance reports.
- Share MIS reports with senior management on time.
- Coordinate with vendors, service centers, and internal departments.
- Monitor store expenses and ensure cost control.
- Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to company policies, billing guidelines, and SOPs.
- Maintain safety and security of the store, products, and staff.
- Handle customer billing, cash management, and daily reconciliation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 24 years of experience in retail management (electronics retail preferred).
- Strong communication, leadership, and people-handling skills.
- Knowledge of mobile phones, laptops, operating systems, and accessories.
- Ability to handle pressure and achieve sales targets.
- Good analytical skills for reporting and inventory management.
- Basic computer knowledge (Excel, billing software, POS).
