Job Description
Role and Responsibilities
Drive retail sales performance
- Drive transactions and sales of the entire team to achieve the store sales targets.
- Lead by example by achieving personal sales goals (when applicable).
- Monitor the individual performance of each retail Artist and coach them for better performance.
- Train the team on customer service, sales techniques, and artistry to improve performance.
- Monitor commercial KPIs: in-store traffic, conversion rate, # of transactions per hour, UPT, AST, and productivity.
- Understand the business trends and competitive dynamics to propose action plans to generate incremental sales.
- Create daily/weekly action plans to animate the store, motivate the team and incentivize customers to visit the store.
- Leverage MAC social media and Omnichannel initiatives and leverage them to drive the business.
Deliver 5-star customer experience
- Maintain and set an example of outstanding customer service, both internal and external. Cultivate a superior service culture focusing on the customer as our #1 priority.
- Ensure excellent customer experience is being given at all times.
- Prioritize and optimize presence on the sales floor to observe and seek customer feedback directly.
- Inspire, motivate, and coach individual Artists on all elements of 5-star customer service and artistry skills.
- Hold each retail Artist accountable for the quality of their service while maintaining zero tolerance of customer complaints.
Develop and manage the talents and capabilities of the team
- Provide clear goals and expectations.
- Conduct required performance reviews and regular team meetings.
- Devise a clear succession plan for each person on the team by leveraging their strengths.
- Foster teamwork and team spirit.
- Develop the team and conduct required training in collaboration with AT&D to provide all team members with adequate training opportunities, elevate expertise, and performance and achieve certifications in a timely manner.
- Complete new hire orientations and ensure proper induction to the brand.
Deliver retail operations excellence
- Develop and maintain excellent collaborative relationships with the retail partner management team (where applicable). Leverage this relationship to drive opportunities for the Brand (space, staff, events, stock).
- Maintain excellent visual merchandizing and hygiene standards at all times. Optimize VM with local adaptations when required.
- Optimize staff schedule to support peak hours in traffic to maximize staff productivity to drive the conversion rate.
- Maintain and monitor inventory levels; execute cycle count and physical inventory as required, report out of stocks, minimize stock holding of slow movers, process testers, returns and destructions with accuracy.
- Manage loss prevention procedures and security policies.
- Complete all account and HR documentation accurately and on time.
- Adhere to all company and/or Retailer's policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent
Preferred Competencies & Skills
- Technical skills: Retail selling skills, Effective communication, makeup skills, and Knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, etc.
- Analytical/Interpretive Skills: Ability to analyze and interpret figures and comment in writing on weekly/monthly reports & Ability to assess customer and staff needs and make recommendations
- Other Skills: Customer orientation, learning proficiency, planning and organizing, team player, influencing, problem-solving, Innovative, In touch with current trends, styles, colors, and also the taste of the Indian market, Ability to work with flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends in a fast-paced environment
