Job Summary
The Store Keeper is responsible for managing construction materials, tools, and equipment at the project site. The role ensures proper storage, stock tracking, and timely availability of materials required for construction activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and verify construction materials (cement, steel, sand, tiles, electrical, plumbing items, etc.)
- Maintain accurate stock registers (inward/outward entries)
- Issue materials to site engineers/contractors as per approved requests
- Ensure proper storage to prevent damage, theft, or wastage
- Monitor minimum stock levels and inform procurement team for replenishment
- Maintain material consumption records and track usage
- Conduct periodic physical stock verification
- Handle GRN (Goods Receipt Note) and documentation
- Maintain records of tools, machinery, and equipment
- Ensure housekeeping and safety standards in the store area
Required Skills
- Knowledge of construction materials and site operations
- Basic computer skills (MS Excel, ERP systems)
- Good record-keeping and documentation ability
- Attention to detail and accountability
- Coordination skills with site engineers and vendors
Educational Qualification
- 12th Pass / Graduate (any stream)
- Diploma in Store/Material Management (preferred but not mandatory)
Preferred Experience
- Experience in real estate, construction, or infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with site store operations and material handling
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to work at construction/project sites
- Physically fit for handling materials
- Basic understanding of safety practices
Qualifications
Educational Qualification
- Minimum: 10th / 12th Pass
- Preferred: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in any field (Commerce / Logistics / Supply Chain is an advantage)
