Job Summary
The Store Incharge is responsible for the overall management of the store, including inventory control, material handling, record-keeping, and ensuring timely availability of materials for smooth operations. The role involves supervising staff, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring proper documentation of all inward and outward materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily store operations and inventory movement.
- Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming materials as per purchase orders and invoices.
- Maintain accurate stock records (inward, outward, and balance) in registers/software.
- Issue materials to departments/sites against approved requisitions.
- Ensure proper storage of materials to prevent damage, theft, or loss.
- Conduct regular stock audits and physical verification.
- Coordinate with the purchase team for timely replenishment of materials.
- Prepare and share daily/weekly/monthly stock reports with management.
- Implement FIFO (First-In-First-Out) and other inventory control methods.
- Supervise and train store staff/labor to maintain cleanliness and safety standards
