Job Summary
The Store Head is responsible for leading and managing store and inventory operations across multiple construction sites. This role focuses on strategic inventory planning, cost control, system implementation, and ensuring efficient material management to support project timelines and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee store operations across multiple project sites
- Develop and implement inventory management strategies and SOPs
- Monitor procurement planning and ensure optimum stock levels
- Ensure accurate inventory tracking through ERP systems
- Lead stock audits, reconciliation, and compliance processes
- Control material costs, wastage, and pilferage across projects
- Coordinate with procurement, project managers, and finance teams
- Standardize store processes across all sites
- Manage and mentor Store In-Charges and store teams
- Analyze material consumption and generate MIS reports for management
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company policies
- Implement best practices in warehouse and material handling
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in construction material management
- Advanced inventory control and warehouse management knowledge
- ERP system proficiency (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Leadership and team management skills
- Strategic planning and analytical thinking
- Cost control and budgeting skills
Educational Qualification
- Graduate / Postgraduate (preferred)
- Degree/Diploma in Material Management / Supply Chain Management is an advantage
Preferred Experience
- 13–15 years in store/material management in real estate or construction
- Experience handling multiple large-scale projects
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to travel across project sites
- Strong coordination and decision-making ability
- Knowledge of compliance, audit, and safety standards
Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
Mandatory
- Graduate in any discipline B.Com / B.Sc / BA / BBA, Diploma
Preferred
- Postgraduate (MBA in Supply Chain / Operations / Logistics)
- Diploma / Degree in Material Management or Supply Chain Management
- Certification in Inventory/Warehouse Management (added advantage)
