Job Title: Storage Architect - Automation, VP

Location: Pune/ Bangalore, India

Role Description

• We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automation Engineer to join our team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and operating enterprise-grade storage, backup, recovery, and cyber resilience automated solutions.
• This role requires a strong focus on automation and scripting, with other knowledge in LLM API Integration, Agent Development Kit, Google AI Studio/Vertex AI, LangChain, Custom Agent Development, AutoGPT, Llama Index.
• The engineer will be crucial in designing and implementing workflows within ServiceNow, leveraging API integrations to streamline storage and backup offering processes.
• The engineer will play a critical role in working as primary liaison with Business, QA, Development teams and Vendors for major releases, recreation of customer issues, subsequent Hot fix and patch testing before release of patches into production environment.

Your key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement automated solutions for storage, backup, recovery, and cyber resilience across the enterprise.
• Capable in delivering high quality products related to storage and backup by performing Functional testing, System testing, Regression testing, Exploratory testing and Ad hoc testing.
• Architect and deploy scalable and highly available storage & backup infrastructure and processes.
• Lead the integration of storage & backup solutions with broader IT infrastructure and security frameworks.
• Develop and maintain custom applications and scripts using Perl and Python for automated alerting, monitoring, and reporting of storage & backup system health, performance, and compliance.
• Managing and deploying playbook using Ansible
• Specialize in the configuration, management, and automation of storage & backup environments.
• Design and implement efficient workflows within ServiceNow to automate storage & backup environments
• Develop and maintain API integrations for storage & backupto enable advanced automation and interoperability with other systems.
• Ensure all storage, backup and recovery solutions meet stringent cyber resilience and disaster recovery objectives.
• Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams to define and implement data protection strategies.
• Perform root cause analysis for complex storage & backup issues and implement preventative measures.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all automated solutions, processes, and infrastructure.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide expert support for critical storage, backup and recovery incidents as required.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in data protection, automation, and cyber resilience.

Your skills and experience

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience (10+ years) in designing, implementing, and operating enterprise-level storage, backup and recovery solutions.
• Strong expertise in automation and scripting using Perl, Shell or Javascript. Python is a must requirement
• Good Experience in Selenium WebDriver, Robot Framework, Pytest and Appium for API Automation, UI Automation and Component Tests Automation.

• Knowledge in managing automation tools like Selenium WebDriver, Appium or Cypress

• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with DELL, Netapp, PURE, HPE and IBM Storage Protect (IBM Spectrum Protect/TSM).
• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing workflows within ServiceNow.
• Extensive experience with Cohesity, including designing and implementing automation workflows.
• Proficient in storage & backup productAPI integration for advanced automation and customization.
• Solid understanding of backup architectures, data recovery strategies, and cyber resilience principles.
• Experience with monitoring tools, logging systems, and alert management.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with stakeholders at all levels.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with other enterprise backup solutions TSM/Cohesity
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for automation deployment.
• Proficiency in developing, testing, and implementing AI algorithms alongside skills in prompting, workflow automation, and understanding AI ethics
