Job Description – Stockyard In-Charge
Position: Stockyard In-Charge
Location: Local candidates preferred
Industry: Steel Fabrication / Manufacturing
Key Responsibilities
- Managing complete stockyard operations and ensuring proper storage of steel materials.
- Receiving, inspecting, and recording incoming materials from suppliers.
- Maintaining accurate stock records and inventory reports.
- Issuing materials to production departments as per approved requisitions.
- Monitoring stock levels and reporting material shortages.
- Ensuring proper stacking, identification, and preservation of steel materials.
- Coordinating with factory departments for material movement and availability.
- Conducting periodic physical stock verification and reconciliation.
- Maintaining housekeeping, safety, and discipline within the stockyard.
- Supervising loading, unloading, and material handling activities.
Requirements
- Experience in steel store, stockyard, or material management in a manufacturing/fabrication industry.
- Knowledge of inventory management and stock control procedures.
- Ability to maintain records and prepare stock reports.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel/ERP preferred).
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Local candidates will be preferred.
