The Manager - Finance will be pivotal in strengthening the company's financial architecture, ensuring accurate reporting, and maintaining multi-jurisdictional compliance across all group entities.
Role Overview
The Manager - Finance will lead end-to-end accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, intercompany accounting, statutory filings, and compliance under Ind-AS, IFRS, and US GAAP.
The role involves hands-on management of global accounting touchpoints including:
- Cross-border invoicing and settlements.
- FEMA, ODI, FDI, ESPA compliance.
- SEC-related coordination for US-regulated entities.
- Transfer pricing and intercompany agreements.
- GST, TDS, and other Indian statutory obligations.
- You will ensure the integrity of the financial statements, maintain an audit-ready balance sheet, and drive process discipline across Borderless multi-entity structure.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounting & Month-End Close:
- Manage daily accounting operations in Tally, Zoho Books, or ERP systems.
- Ensure accurate recognition of revenue, expenses, commissions, brokerage, and investment flows.
- Lead month-end close: journals, provisions, accruals, depreciation, amortization, and FX impact.
- Own reconciliations of bank accounts, wallets, client funds, GST/TDS ledgers, intercompany accounts, and fixed assets.
- Review vendor invoices, reimbursements, employee claims, and ensure correct GL classification.
- Intercompany & Cross-Border Accounting:
- Manage intercompany AR/AP for entities in India, US, Singapore, GIFT City, and Cayman.
- Ensure compliance with FEMA, ODI, FDI regulations, and timelines for export realisation.
- Oversee ESPA (Economic Substance & Procedural Aspects) and Cayman compliance coordination.
- Align US entity reporting with SEC, IRS, and local accounting teams.
- Maintain transfer pricing documentation, intercompany agreements, and correct TP margin allocation.
- Taxation & Regulatory Compliance:
- Oversee GST, TDS, PT, PF/ESI filings and reconciliations.
- Monitor LUT filings, GST export classifications, and foreign invoice timelines.
- Coordinate with external advisors for US, Singapore, GIFT City, and Cayman statutory filings.
- Ensure alignment with Companies Act requirements and Ind-AS reporting standards.
- Support cross-border taxation, withholding tax, and treaty benefit processes (W-8BEN-E, 15CA/CB, etc.)
- Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable:
- Monitor AR ageing, follow-up with clients, and reduce overdue receivables.
- Ensure timely vendor payments, processing cycles, and closure of legacy balances.
- Prevent regulatory breaches by monitoring foreign payable/receivable ageing.
- Internal Controls, Audit & Governance:
- Implement strong internal controls across accounting and financial reporting.
- Prepare audit schedules, support statutory audit, internal audit, tax audit, and regulatory reviews.
- Conduct monthly balance sheet reviews and highlight misstatements, gaps, or risks.
- Strengthen policy documentation across procurement, approvals, and financial processes.
- Fixed Assets, Product Costing & Capitalization:
- Maintain the fixed asset register and oversee capitalization of software/product development.
- Work with engineering/product teams to track development efforts under Ind-AS 38.
- Ensure correct amortization schedules and impairment testing where required.
- Reporting, MIS & Consolidation:
- Prepare MIS dashboards, month-end packs, cash flow reports, and variance analyses.
- Support multi-entity consolidation across India, US, Singapore, Cayman, and GIFT City.
- Provide cost insights, vendor analysis, and opportunities for process and expense optimization.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- CA + CS mandatory (Both qualifications must be completed).
- Masters in Finance/MBA would be beneficial in this role
- 5-10 years of experience in accounting, preferably in fintech, SaaS, investment management, brokerages, or multi-entity global structures.
- Strong knowledge of Ind-AS, IFRS, US GAAP, Companies Act requirements.
- Deep exposure to FEMA, FDI, ODI, ESPA, SEC/IRS, and cross-border financial compliance.
- Hands-on expertise in Tally and cloud accounting platforms.
- Experience with intercompany accounting, TP, reconciliations, and multi-currency environments.
