Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Steward role based in Mumbai. The Steward will support daily restaurant operations by maintaining cleanliness of the dining area, kitchen, and service stations, including dishwashing, surface sanitation, and waste management. The role involves assisting the food and beverage team with basic food service tasks, replenishing service ware and supplies, and ensuring all equipment is cleaned and stored properly. The Steward will follow hygiene, safety, and quality standards, and coordinate with team members to ensure smooth service during peak hours. This position requires working in shifts, including weekends and holidays, as per operational needs.
Qualifications
- Strong Customer Service and Communication skills to interact courteously with guests and support team members.
- Knowledge of Food & Beverage and Food Service operations, including hygiene standards, basic service etiquette, and handling of equipment.
- Ability to participate in and benefit from Training related to safety, sanitation, and standard operating procedures.
- Prior experience in hospitality, restaurants, or catering is preferred but not mandatory; entry-level candidates are welcome.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift and carry items, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliability, attention to detail, and a positive, collaborative attitude.
