Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced OMS Sterling QA Engineer with around 10 years of experience in testing IBM Sterling Order Management System (OMS) applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in functional, integration, and end-to-end testing within OMS environments and experience working with e-commerce or supply chain systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform functional, regression, system, and integration testing for IBM Sterling OMS applications.
- Design and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts based on business requirements.
- Validate order lifecycle processes such as order creation, fulfillment, shipping, returns, and cancellations.
- Work closely with business analysts, developers, and product teams to understand requirements and ensure quality deliverables.
- Perform API testing and integration testing between OMS and external systems such as ERP, WMS, and payment systems.
- Identify, log, track, and manage defects using defect tracking tools (JIRA, ALM, etc.).
- Support UAT testing and production releases.
- Participate in test planning, test strategy preparation, and test execution reporting.
- Ensure data validation and backend testing for OMS transactions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in IBM Sterling Order Management System (OMS) testing.
- Experience in functional testing, integration testing, and regression testing.
- Knowledge of order lifecycle management (order capture, fulfillment, shipping, returns).
- Experience with API testing tools (Postman / SOAP UI).
- Familiarity with SQL for data validation.
- Experience working with JIRA, HP ALM, or other test management tools.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce, retail, or supply chain systems.
- Good knowledge of Agile methodology.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
