Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for SDS/2 Trainees located in Chennai. The Steel Detailer Trainee will assist in creating detailed structural steel drawings, support senior detailers in SDS modeling tasks, and ensure that design specifications adhere to AISC and CISC codes. You will collaborate with team members to review architectural and engineering drawings for structural steel projects and receive hands-on training in steel detailing using the SDS/2 software. Regular responsibilities include preparing shop drawings and ensuring accuracy and adherence to project timelines.

Qualifications

• Proficiency or interest in learning Steel Detailing, including the use of SDS/2 software
• Knowledge of techniques related to creating Shop Drawings for construction projects
• Familiarity with Steel Structures and Rebar-based detailing
• Ability to interpret and work with Architectural Drawings
• Strong technical and analytical skills to contribute to high-quality project deliverables
• Teamwork skills and a willingness to learn in a collaborative work environment
• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or relevant field is preferred
