Role Overview To lead and manage the sales operations for the assigned state, ensuring achievement of revenue, volume, and market share targets. The State Sales Head will be responsible for implementing sales strategies, expanding the customer base, and maintaining strong relationships with OEMs, distributors, and key accounts in the region. Key Responsibilities: Sales Planning & Execution Develop and execute the state-level sales plan aligned with zonal and national business objectives. Achieve sales, collection, and profitability targets for the assigned territory. Identify potential growth areas, emerging markets, and new business opportunities. Ensure effective product positioning and pricing in the state market. Market Development & Customer Management Manage relationships with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, dealers, and aftermarket customers. Build long-term partnerships with key accounts through regular engagement and service excellence. Monitor competitor activities and market trends; recommend strategies to counter competition. Drive market expansion through new customer acquisition and territory development. Team Leadership & Performance Management Lead a team of Area Sales Managers / Executives to achieve business targets. Set clear objectives, review performance periodically, and provide coaching and motivation. Ensure effective coverage of all key customers and territories within the state. Promote a high-performance, ethical, and customer-focused culture. Operational Efficiency Coordinate with supply chain, logistics, and finance teams to ensure on-time delivery and payment collection. Monitor order booking, dispatches, and outstanding payments to meet business KPIs. Optimize distribution channels and inventory levels to balance demand and supply effectively. MIS & Reporting Track monthly and quarterly sales performance against targets. Prepare sales forecasts, competitor analysis, and customer reports for management review. Provide market intelligence inputs for product development and marketing initiatives.

Key Skills & Competencies: In-depth understanding of the automotive / auto component market dynamics. Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. Proven leadership and team management capability. Customer-centric approach with focus on relationship management. Proficiency in MS Excel, CRM tools, and data-based reporting.
