Role Description The State Head role at SMIFS LIMITED is a full-time, on-site position based in RAIPUR.The State Head is responsible for driving business growth across the state, overseeing branch operations, and ensuring delivery of high-quality wealth management and financial services. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and executing regional business plans, leading and mentoring sales and advisory teams, and building strong relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders. The role involves monitoring performance metrics, ensuring regulatory and compliance standards are met, coordinating with central leadership on strategy and product initiatives, and identifying new market opportunities. The State Head will also represent the organization locally, uphold the client-first philosophy, and ensure consistent service quality across all locations within the state.

Qualifications

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in mentoring, performance tracking, and fostering collaboration.
  • Proven experience in financial services, wealth management, or related domains, including exposure to products such as mutual funds, equities, insurance, and structured solutions.
  • Business development and relationship management capabilities, including client acquisition, retention, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strategic planning, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills to drive regional growth and optimize branch performance.
  • Thorough understanding of regulatory, compliance, and risk management practices in financial markets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial concepts clearly.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification (MBA or equivalent) or professional certifications (e.g., NISM, CFP) are an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on-site, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and adapt to evolving market conditions and organizational priorities.
