About the Company/Team

This role sits within the Global Revenue Recognition organization and supports global finance processes related to Standalone Selling Price (SSP) studies, compliance analysis, process controls, and system support for Oracle's APEX Revenue Management modules and GRID-based SSP processes.

Job Summary

The SSP Analyst / Global Functional Expert for Standalone Selling Price will support the end-to-end SSP study analysis process across global Revenue Recognition, Finance, IT, and cross-functional business teams. This role is responsible for preparing and analyzing SSP study data, validating compliance calculations, supporting audit requirements, identifying process improvements, and partnering on system enhancements and large-scale finance transformation initiatives.

The successful candidate will bring strong analytical skills, finance process knowledge, project management discipline, and the ability to work independently in a complex global environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare SSP study data and execute quarterly SSP analysis activities in line with the approved SSP study plan and required timelines.
  • Use the SSP Study Tracker in GRID to monitor study progress, validate completion status, and support timely execution of quarterly deliverables.
  • Generate, validate, and analyze SSP data, including transactional data, SSP percentages, compliance calculations, banding accuracy, and significant period-over-period variances.
  • Prepare quarterly compliance comparisons, accounting SSP memos, and supporting documentation for methodology changes, study results, compliance conclusions, and variance explanations.
  • Perform completeness, accuracy, clerical, and transactional testing to support established controls, audit requirements, and data integrity expectations.
  • Maintain audit evidence related to SSP baseline scripts, reporting methodologies, source system parameters, system migrations, inclusions/exclusions, and approved study assumptions.
  • Collaborate with Global Revenue Recognition, Finance, IT, and cross-functional teams on production issues, enhancement requests, automation opportunities, and Oracle APEX Revenue Management module support.
  • Identify process gaps, operational risks, missing system requirements, and opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve SSP processes, controls, and documentation.

Qualifications & Skills

Mandatory

  • Experience in finance, revenue recognition, accounting operations, financial analysis, or a closely related business process role.
  • Strong understanding of Standalone Selling Price concepts, revenue recognition processes, compliance requirements, or audit-supported finance controls.
  • Ability to prepare, validate, analyze, and explain complex financial or transactional data.
  • Experience supporting quarterly or recurring finance processes with defined timelines, controls, and deliverables.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing competing priorities and critical deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to provide status updates, escalate issues, make recommendations, and partner with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience working with finance systems, reporting tools, ERP-related modules, GRID-like workflow tools, or revenue management systems.

Good-to-Have

  • Hands-on experience with Oracle finance systems, Oracle APEX Revenue Management modules, GRID, or related internal finance applications.
  • Experience supporting SSP studies, revenue accounting, ASC 606 / IFRS 15 processes, or global revenue recognition compliance.
  • Experience preparing audit evidence, accounting memos, control documentation, or external/internal audit support materials.
  • Project management experience supporting system enhancements, automation initiatives, production support, or finance transformation projects.
  • Experience mentoring team members or serving as a subject matter expert within a finance operations or revenue recognition function.
  • Exposure to global and regional finance practices in a large, matrixed enterprise environment.
