Job Description
Inventory management
- Implement the system of inventory control to ensure smooth functioning of the plant
- Provide input wherever required in formulation of Stores system and ensure implementation of agreed upon material system and operating process
- Make available all materials as per the agreed upon inventory level to ensure uninterrupted operation of the plant.
- Monitoring of daily material receipt and issue and their timely entry in system
- Timely unload/load Stores material with the available resources
- Reduce breakage of material as handled by transporters & contractors
- Carry out physical stock verification of inventory items periodically
- Physically check inventory before issuing the material physically
- Assist in Preparing the yearly/quarterly/monthly plan for ensuring the optimum level of inventory in plant.
Scrap/Surplus/Obsolete material management
- Carry out collection, storage and disposal of scrap/obsolete/surplus material in the plant
- Sort out obsolete inventory items with coordination of user department
- Collect and segregate scrap, surplus and obsolete materials from the different locations in the plant
- Organize & conclude all activities relating to disposal of old furniture & fixtures, scrap etc. with the vendors
System Management (Safety, Sustainability & WCM)
- Adhere to safety & statutory environmental requirements
- Strictly adhere to safety norms & safe operational procedures
- Strictly adhere to OHSAS & SA 8000 norms
- Implement IMS, WCM and sustainability practices
- Handle emergency situations like Liquid Chlorine leakages etc. under Disaster Management activities
- Train the team to comply with these norms
- Maintain process systems having zero effluent and zero accident
