Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and tech-savvy Staff Software QA Lead to join our team and ensure the quality of our cutting-edge media streaming product, which uses AI to translate media into different languages. As a QA Manager, you will focus on user acceptance testing (UAT), exploratory testing, and maintaining a seamless user experience. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong problem-solving skills, and is passionate about media, AI, and ensuring top-notch product performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate manual testing of our media streaming product, ensuring functionality, performance, and usability meet user expectations.
  • Engineer user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate features and workflows before release.
  • Direct exploratory testing to uncover edge cases, usability issues, and potential system vulnerabilities.
  • Design, execute, and document test cases, scenarios, and results.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and AI specialists to understand feature requirements and testing goals.
  • Log detailed and actionable bug reports, working closely with the development team for resolution.
  • Use AWS tools to simulate and test cloud-based streaming scenarios.
  • Analyze system behavior, logs, and performance to identify potential improvements or bottlenecks.
  • Write simple Python scripts for test automation or data analysis where necessary.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in manual testing, with a focus on UAT and exploratory testing.
  • Familiarity with media streaming platforms and related user workflows.
  • Basic knowledge of AWS services (e.g., S3, CloudWatch, EC2, Lambda) and their application in testing cloud-based products.
  • Proficiency in Python for writing scripts, analyzing logs, or interacting with APIs.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to think critically about product workflows and user experiences.
  • Excellent communication skills for documenting test results and reporting bugs.
  • A keen eye for detail and a proactive attitude toward solving problems.
  • General technical aptitude and a willingness to learn new tools and technologies as needed.
