Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience programming in C++, Java, Python, Kotlin or Go.
- 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
- 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
Preferred qualifications:
- 8 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.

Responsibilities
- Develop a detailed understanding of YouTube (YT) Shopping. Collaborate with Cross-functional (x-fn) partners, Engineering Managers (EMs) and Program Managers (PMs) to support strategic business priorities with technical roadmaps.
- Author and guide the team in producing robust end-to-end technical designs, translating product requirements into well-defined implementation plans that can be executed on.
- Support the engineering team throughout the entire development cycle, actively participating in design, code and launch reviews, resulting in high-quality features. Conduct data analyses to evaluate the impact of implemented features on key business metrics, contribute to the definition and continuous monitoring of relevant performance indicators.
- Foster strong collaborative relationships with other YouTube Shopping Team Leads (TLs) and YouTube platform/infra engineering teams to realize design with best practices within realistic timelines.
