Staff Software Engineer

Job Requirements:

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent is required.
• Self-directed work style with minimum supervision
• More than 5 years of experience developing/testing/deploying secure production quality software products
• Expert level programming (C++) and scripting skills (Bash) are required with demonstrated ability to solve complex problems
• Prior experience building distributed systems at internet scale
• Prior experience building OLTP database/experience on segregated compute & storage is a plus
• Deep expertise in PostgreSQL internals: storage/buffer manager, WAL, MVCC, lock manager, query planner/executor
• Strong transaction management background: isolation levels, concurrency control, deadlock detection, crash recovery, physical/logical replication, and HA/failover strategies
• Proven track record in performance engineering: profiling (perf, gdb, flamegraphs), benchmarking (pgbench), autovacuum tuning, index/statistics optimization, and I/O/memory optimization for large-scale workloads
• Proven technical leadership in guiding teams and making architectural decisions
• Ability to collaborate with other senior technical leaders in the team
• Demonstrated experience in leading critical project to production
