Staff Software Engineer

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience mentoring executive engineers.

• Ability to raise the technical bar across the broader organization and define the standards for coding, testing strategies, and deployment processes, while leading complex, system-wide design and code reviews to ensure reliability and maintainability at scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of major, highly scalable systems across multiple teams. Be responsible for making strategic, long-term technical decisions that navigate complex trade-offs involving global scale, high availability, and system extensibility.
• Drive technical goals and alignment across complex, matrixed organizations. Manage highly ambiguous problems and collaborate closely with cross-functional partners (e.g., Product Manager (PM), User Experience (UX), Legal, and other engineering organization) to shape the long-term product and technical roadmap.
• Identify and resolve broad, foundational issues rather than just single-system bugs. Dive into complex architectural bottlenecks, optimize large-scale infrastructure, and own the technical outcomes of critical business initiatives.
