Job Title: Staff Software Engineer

Location: Bangalore

Business & Team: The CTO organisation is responsible for building, running, and evolving the bank's core technology platforms. It drives technology strategy, software engineering, cloud and infrastructure platforms, reliability, security, and modernisation to enable safe, scalable, and innovative digital experiences for customers and business units. The Storage and Data Protection team designs, engineers, and operates enterprise storage and backup platforms. The team ensures data availability, resilience, security, and compliance across onpremises and cloud environments by managing storage services, backup and recovery, data protection, migrations, and disaster recovery capabilities.

Impact & contribution:

You drive reliable, scalable automation and cloud platforms across hybrid environments, improving system stability and delivery speed. Through strong SRE, DevSecOps, and automation practices, you enhance platform resilience, operational efficiency, and secure delivery of businesscritical services.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead automation, cloud, hybrid, and DevSecOps platforms ensuring reliability, scalability, and security across enterprise environments.

  • Apply SRE and DevOps practices to improve availability, incident response, and operational excellence in hybrid infrastructures.

  • Manage AWS and VMware platforms (vSphere, NSX, Aria) including compute, network, and hybrid integrations.

  • Develop automation and InfrastructureasCode using scripting languages and tools such as Terraform, CDK, and CloudFormation.

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and version control practices using GitHub/GitLab and modern DevOps toolchains.

  • Collaborate with cloud, network, security, and application teams to embed DevSecOps, governance, and automation standards.

Essential Skills:

  • 12+ years Exp in Automation, Cloud, Hybrid & DevSecOps

  • Strong background in deploying and managing monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Fluentbit) to ensure system reliability and performance.

  • Experience with configuration management Ansible automation platform (formerly Ansible tower

  • Experience in Software Engineering/DevOps/SRE/System Engineering in a Hybrid environment.

  • Cloud/AWS fundamental service (IAM, VPC, EC2).

  • Experience with VMware products like VCF, NSX, VMware Aria

  • Exposure to networking technologies SNMP, firewall, KVM and switching

  • Highly proficient working with various scripting/programming languages such as - PowerShell, Bash, Python, Typescript.

  • Confident working with Infrastructure as Code will be highly desirable - CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform

  • CI/CD tools like CodeBuild, CodePipeline, Artifactory, ArgoCD, Github actions

  • Experienced with distributed version control systems- GitHub, GitLab

Education/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
