About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced Staff Backend Engineer to lead the design and development of large-scale backend systems. This role requires deep expertise in system design, architecture, and scalability.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working on Node.js (Golang experience is a plus) and thrive in a high-scale, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and design of scalable backend systems
• Build and optimize high-throughput, low-latency services
• Drive technical decisions and provide mentorship to engineering teams
• Ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful features
• Review code, enforce best practices, and improve engineering standards
• Handle production issues and drive long-term technical solutions

Required Skills & Experience

• 8–14 years of experience in backend development
• Strong expertise in Node.js (mandatory)
• Experience with Golang is a plus
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and system design
• Strong experience with MongoDB / NoSQL databases
• Proven experience building and scaling high-traffic systems
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and ownership mindset
