Staff Software Development Engineer - DevOps

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and QA strategy for API Gateway and traffic management systems across multiple CDNs (Akamai, Fastly, Cloudflare).
• Design and validate resilient, cloud-agnostic ingress solutions and internal service-to-service routing.
• Set architectural and testing standards for API routing, ingress, and traffic platform evolution.
• Build and govern CI/CD, GitOps, and automated testing workflows, ensuring safe deployments and progressive rollouts.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code modules using Terraform, Helm, and Kubernetes to enable self-service and operational guardrails.
• Create tooling in Go or Python to improve operational efficiency, control, and observability of traffic systems.
• Define and enforce observability standards (metrics, logs, tracing, SLIs/SLOs) for traffic and API systems.
• Mentor engineers, review high-impact designs, unblock teams, and elevate engineering and QA standards.
• Proactively identify scalability, security, and reliability risks, driving mitigation strategies before they impact production.
