Staff Software Development Engineer (Backend) - Subs & Pay

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, fault-tolerant backend systems for subscription lifecycle management, payment processing, and renewal workflows.
• Lead development of core platform components such as subscription state machine, payment orchestration layer, retry engine, and entitlement services.
• Ensure APIs and services deliver high performance and low latency, scaling to millions of users across geographies.
• Build systems with strong observability, monitoring, and incident response capabilities.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt relevant technologies to enhance platform capabilities.
• Influence and lead architecture and design discussions within the team.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to team members to uphold technical standards and best practices.
