Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Staff Nurse (NICU) located in Kozhikode. The Staff Nurse will be responsible for providing dedicated neonatal intensive care, ensuring the safety and well-being of newborns requiring specialized medical attention. Daily tasks include assessing and monitoring patient conditions, administering medications and treatments as prescribed, maintaining accurate medical records, and supporting families by providing clear communication and guidance. The role demands effective collaboration with doctors and other medical professionals to deliver quality patient care and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

• Proficient in neonatal patient care, including monitoring vitals, administering medications, and handling advanced NICU equipment
• Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and emergency response procedures
• Ability to effectively communicate and provide guidance to families, offering emotional support and health education
• Collaborative skills to work closely with physicians, other nurses, and healthcare staff in a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent documentation and record-keeping abilities to ensure accurate patient medical histories
• A degree or diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) or Bachelor's in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing)
• Valid nursing licensure required; prior NICU experience is highly preferred
• Compassionate, detail-oriented, and able to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment
