Staff Nurse

Responsibilities

• Explain basic details about medicines, treatments, and reasons for waiting to patients.
• Follow infection control policies and biomedical waste management guidelines.
• Prepare patients for various diagnostic procedures.
• Constantly work on ways to improve the quality of service.
• Ensure accurate and timely medication administration.
• Comply with service quality processes, environmental, and occupational policies.
• Provide emotional support to patients and relatives.
• Manage OP procedures like BP, IV maintenance, and injections.
• Impart health education to patients as per diagnosis requirements.
• Direct and develop nursing staff by creating schedules, offering advice, and answering health-related questions.
• Guide student nurses in their daily activities.
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum 1 to 5 years of experience as a staff nurse.
• GNM/B.Sc degree with relevant experience.
• Strong patient care skills and a primary focus on patient well-being.
• Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patients care needs.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary professional staff.
• Maintain accurate patient records and follow waste management practices.
• Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Knowledge of medical procedures, charting, reporting, and record management.
• Ensure compliance with infection control standards and hospital policies.
• Ability to work in a team and coordinate patient care efficiently.
