Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Nurse / Clinical Coordinator to join our team, specializing in ophthalmology. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care in both outpatient and surgical settings, ensuring a seamless and safe experience for all patients undergoing eye procedures and consultations. This role requires a strong focus on clinical excellence, accurate documentation, and effective teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Care:
  • Provide high-quality patient care to individuals undergoing ophthalmic surgeries and OPD consultations.
  • Assist the eye OT (Operation Theatre) team during various procedures, including phacoemulsification, vitreo-retinal surgery, and other ophthalmological procedures.
  • Coordination & Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of patient data, including medical history, test results, and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate closely with doctors and other healthcare professionals to ensure the seamless coordination of patient care.
  • Compliance & Safety:
  • Ensure strict compliance with hospital policies and protocols related to infection control, medication administration, and sterilization procedures.

Educational Qualifications

  • A degree or diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution.
  • A valid State Nursing Council Certificate is mandatory.

Required Skills

  • Clinical Acumen: Strong clinical skills with a focus on ophthalmology, including experience in assisting with eye surgeries.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in maintaining accurate patient records and adhering to clinical protocols.
  • Teamwork: Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills for interacting with patients and colleagues.
  • Compliance: A firm understanding of and commitment to infection control, safety, and sterilization standards.
