Job Description Summary

The Staff Enterprise Architect leads the architecture, build, and operation of High-Performance Computing (HPC) platforms on AWS Cloud, driving deployment efficiency, platform reliability, and AI-enabled optimization.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Design, build and run HPC platforms on AWS Cloud.

  • Engineer and maintain software configuration, deployment, and automation processes

  • Troubleshoot and resolve recurring platform issues with scalable, long-term solutions

  • Drive continuous improvement in platform reliability, performance, and cost efficiency

  • Use AI/ML-driven approaches to optimize infrastructure utilization, workload performance, and operations

  • Collaborate with engineering, cloud, and operations teams to deliver robust HPC solutions

  • Deliver architecture roadmaps and projects to fulfill product rollout needs and business driven outcomes

  • Contribute to long term architecture and implementation of GE Vernova Compute strategy.

  • Participate in the domain technical and business discussions relative to future architect direction.

  • Assist in the analysis, design and development of a roadmap and implementation based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint.

  • Research and evaluate emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities.

  • Coach and mentor team members.

Education Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with minimum years of experience6years

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, or systems architecture

  • Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud environments - (EC2, EFS, S3, Networking)

  • Strong background in Linux administration, automation, and software deployment

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and configuration management

  • Knowledge of HPC schedulers, storage, and networking

  • Proven ability to identify root causes and solve systemic technical issues

  • Familiarity with applying AI/ML techniques for optimization and operational improvement

  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills

Leadership

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of internal organization

  • Foresee obstacles, identify workarounds, leverage resources, rally teammates.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with and/or lead blended teams, including 3rd party partners and customer personnel.

  • Demonstrated Change Management /Acceleration capabilities

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including creativity and curiosity with ability to effectively communicate and influence across all organizational levels

  • Proven analytical and problem resolution skills

  • Ability to influence and build consensus with other Information Technology (IT) teams and leadership
