Position Title: Advanced Engineer Software - UI developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and Experienced UI Engineer to join our Web Engineering team. This role will focus on building scalable, high-performance web applications that power our grocery retail platform. You will be responsible for designing and developing modern front-end solutions, ensuring seamless user experiences, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative features for millions of customers.

Roles & responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality web applications using React, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
• Implement state management solutions with Redux and integrate middleware such as Redux-Saga or Thunk.
• Build and optimize AJAX-based data fetching and API integrations.
• Write and maintain unit/integration tests using frameworks like React Testing Library, Jest, or similar
• Collaborate closely with Product, UX, and Backend teams to deliver scalable and user-centric solutions.
• Ensure high availability, performance, resiliency, and modularity of Web services and applications.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and ensure smooth deployment of front-end applications.

Experience Required:

• 8-12 years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on front-end development using ReactJs
• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related field.
• Proven experience leading large-scale web applications in high-traffic consumer environments.
• Deep understanding of React, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and modern front-end architecture.
• Experience with UI testing frameworks (React Testing Library, Jest, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of Redux, AJAX, and middleware (Redux-Saga, Thunk)
• Strong technical acumen with the ability to make architectural decisions and lead engineering teams.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• A problem-solver – Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and you find ways to get things done
• Strong strategic skills.

Preferred:

• Experience in grocery, retail, or consumer-facing digital platforms.
• Familiarity with personalization, taxonomy, and product data enrichment.
• Familiarity with GitHub CoPilot and other developer productivity tools and frameworks.
• Hands on development experience in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern web frameworks (React) is preferred.
