Role Summary
Outcomes is seeking a highly skilled Staff Engineer with deep expertise in C/C++, Java, Spring Framework, PostgreSQL, c-treeDB (FairCom), and Oracle to lead the development, support, optimization, and modernization of critical legacy platforms. This role combines hands-on engineering, architecture, and technical leadership to drive scalable, reliable, and maintainable solutions.

Outcomes is seeking a highly skilled Staff Engineer with deep expertise in C/C++, Java, Spring Framework, PostgreSQL, c-treeDB (FairCom), and Oracle to lead the development, support, optimization, and modernization of critical legacy platforms. This role combines hands-on engineering, architecture, and technical leadership to drive scalable, reliable, and maintainable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design, development, enhancement, and support of enterprise applications built on C/C++ and Java.
- Drive modernization and performance optimization of legacy systems.
- Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership across engineering teams.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and improve system reliability and scalability.
- Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and best practices.
- Strong hands-on experience in C and C++
- Strong experience in Core Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot
- Experience with legacy application development and modernization
- Expertise in PostgreSQL, c-treeDB (FairCom), and Oracle Database
- Strong SQL, query optimization, performance tuning, and database design experience
- Experience with REST APIs, System Design, Object-Oriented Design, Design Patterns, Multithreading, and Concurrent Programming
- Strong Linux/Unix experience and Shell Scripting
- Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, CI/CD pipelines
- Cloud exposure (Azure/AWS)
- Microservices architecture
- Healthcare product/platform experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience.
- Proven experience working with large-scale enterprise and legacy systems.
