Meet the Team
Join a dynamic MCU Validation team that drives post silicon validation and characterization of various analog blocks, analog/digital peripherals and chip systems.
We work closely with design, verification, apps and architecture groups to deliver high-performance, low-power solutions. Collaboration, innovation, and technical excellence define our culture, making this an exciting place to grow, lead, and make a real impact.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced validation engineer for building a new system validation capacity within our MCU Validation team in Hyderabad, India. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic detail-oriented system level engineer with a solid understanding of low power MCU architectures in terms of both digital and analog aspects. The position also requires software proficiency at Python scripting and firmware levels, experience in board level hardware design, and deep understanding of test instrumentation, measurement techniques and tests automation. The candidate would also be mentoring a team of engineers and collaborating with cross-functional groups. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to world-class silicon solutions and grow as a technical leader.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute system-level validation plans derived from typical customer use cases and cross functional teams requirements.
- Develop embedded firmware (C/Assembly) to enable validation scenarios using HAL/driver layers
- Build automation frameworks in Python to control lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, SMUs, spectrum analyzers, and AWGs
- Validate and characterize analog, digital, and mixed-signal subsystems on silicon
- Debug system-level issues and collaborate with design, firmware, and applications teams
- Analyze results, identify failure modes, and drive root cause analysis
- Document validation results and contribute to product quality and release readiness
- Drive or participate in cross functional technical reviews
- Infrastructure development for our automated silicon characterization platform which consists of hardware, device/instruments drivers, software toolchains, frameworks, libraries and databases
- Implement and develop work processes to scale efficiently and ensure high product quality
- Close cooperation with existing IoT MCU Validation teams in other locations, with IC design engineers and SW/FW developers
- Lead validation projects in an inter site, cross functional team environment.
- Mentor new team members
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in system-level validation/characterization of SoCs or MCUs
- Experience in embedded firmware development (C/Assembly) using HAL/driver frameworks
- Ability to extract and interpret register-level details from datasheets/reference manuals
- Experience building automation frameworks (Python preferred) for validation workflows
- Hands-on experience with lab instrumentation (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, SMU, AWG, etc.)
- Solid understanding of ARM Cortex-M or RISC-V architectures
- Strong hands-on experience validating blocks such as:
- Power: DCDC converters, LDOs, Brown-Out Detectors
- Clocking: RCOs, PLLs
- Mixed-signal: ADCs, DACs, Op-Amps
