About The Team
The Staff Consulting Architect will be a vital member of Nutanix's Professional Services team, which is dedicated to delivering innovative virtualization, software-defined networking (SDN), and network security solutions to our clients. This team operates from Bangalore or Pune and fosters a collaborative and inclusive culture that values creativity and knowledge sharing. The mission of the team is to empower organizations with next-generation data center and hybrid cloud environments that enhance performance, security, and scalability.
You will report to the Director of Professional Services, who promotes a supportive and mentoring leadership style, focusing on empowering team members to achieve their full potential and encouraging a strong sense of collaboration. The role is hybrid, requiring the employee to come into the office three days a week, fostering teamwork and facilitating knowledge exchange while allowing flexibility for remote work.
This position does not require any travel, allowing you to focus entirely on the Engineering and implementation of solutions in a local context without the need for external travel.
Your Role
- Design and implement SDN solutions, ensuring efficient virtual network architectures and security protocols.
- Lead the deployment of microsegmentation strategies, enforcing Zero Trust principles to enhance security.
- Configure and manage virtualization platforms, optimizing performance and availability across hybrid cloud environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate network infrastructures and streamline operations.
- Mentor and guide junior consultants, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional development.
- Conduct troubleshooting and optimization efforts to maintain high availability of network services.
- Establish strong customer relationships through effective communication and consulting engagements.
- Achieve measurable improvements in network performance and security within the first year, aligning with company goals.
What You Will Bring
- 10+ years of experience in data centre virtualization and SDN solutions.
- Strong hands-on expertise in hypervisors (VMware / AHV).
- Deep understanding of network virtualization, microsegmentation, and Zero Trust principles.
- Experience with SDN platforms (e.g., VMware NSX, Nutanix Flow, Cisco ACI).
- Proficient in implementing and managing hybrid cloud network architectures.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills using CLI, REST APIs, and network analysis tools.
- Exceptional consulting, customer engagement, and communication skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
