Multi-Cloud Automation, Governance & Platform Engineering

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to join our Cloud Management & Platform Engineering team.

In this role, you will design, build, and operate enterprise-scale multi-cloud governance and enablement platforms across Google Cloud, IBM Cloud, AWS, and Azure. You will leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, platform engineering practices, and AI-driven operational tooling to improve security, consistency, scalability, and developer experience across our cloud estate.

This is a highly technical, hands-on engineering role focused on cloud automation, governance, security, and platform reliability.

What You'll Do

Cloud Platform Engineering

• Design and build cloud governance and enablement services across multi-cloud environments (GCP, IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure).



• Develop reusable platform capabilities that accelerate secure cloud adoption.



• Implement and maintain cloud account/project onboarding frameworks.



• Design and manage enterprise cloud networking, security, and connectivity patterns.



• Maintain integrations with observability, monitoring, logging, and security platforms.



• Build and manage secure ingress protection services including WAF and DDoS controls.



• Design enterprise logging, telemetry, and SIEM integration patterns.



• Develop and maintain golden VM images and hardened infrastructure baselines.

Infrastructure as Code & Automation

• Build and maintain Terraform-based cloud provisioning frameworks.



• Develop automation using Python, Go, Ansible, Bash, and cloud-native APIs.



• Create reusable modules, templates, and CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure delivery.



• Implement automated testing, validation, compliance, and policy enforcement controls.



• Drive platform modernization through automation-first engineering practices.

Cloud Governance & Security

• Translate security, compliance, and governance requirements into cloud-native policies and guardrails.



• Define and implement enterprise cloud governance standards.



• Partner with Security, Architecture, and Engineering teams to establish secure access control models.



• Improve cloud posture management through automation and continuous compliance monitoring.



• Design scalable governance frameworks that balance security with developer productivity.

AI & Intelligent Operations

• Design and implement AI-assisted and agentic workflows to streamline cloud operations and governance activities.



• Explore and deploy automation capabilities leveraging AI/ML technologies.



• Develop operational tooling that improves incident response, remediation, and platform insights.

Reliability & Operations

• Operate and support business-critical cloud management platforms.



• Participate in an on-call rotation supporting cloud platform services.



• Drive reliability, availability, and performance improvements.



• Implement robust observability, monitoring, alerting, and operational support patterns.

Technical Leadership

• Act as a technical SME for AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and IBM Cloud platforms.



• Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.



• Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.



• Contribute to platform strategy, architecture, and roadmap planning.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering.



• 3+ years of hands-on experience building Infrastructure as Code solutions.



• 3+ years of experience operating cloud platforms at enterprise scale.



• Experience working in multi-cloud environments.



• Strong understanding of cloud security, governance, networking, and automation. Candidate must be available during US business hours through the training period. Upon successful completion of training and demonstrated independence in the role, working hours may be renegotiated to better align with UK or India time zones.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing enterprise-scale cloud platforms.



• Experience working within a Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) or Platform Engineering organization.



• Experience implementing Internal Developer Platforms (IDP).



• Experience with AI-powered operational tooling or agentic automation frameworks.



• Familiarity with:



• Terragrunt



• PowerShell



• JavaScript / Node.js



• Kubernetes



• GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins



• Open Policy Agent (OPA)



• Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) solutions
