Staff Accountant

What You'll Bring

• CA or CPA qualified with 6–9 years of progressive experience in accounting, audit, and tax compliance
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with proven expertise in US GAAP, Ind-AS, and IFRS
• Solid experience in end-to-end accounting processes: general ledger, month/year-end close, financial reporting, and audit support
• Demonstrated success in tax compliance, including GST, TDS, transfer pricing, and corporate tax
• Strong command of accounting systems and tools such as Oracle R12, Blackline, and Coupa (preferred)
• Proven track record of process automation and technology-driven simplification of accounting and tax functions
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, global environment
• Experience collaborating across cross-functional and global teams, including GBS, FP&A, Tax, and Legal

How You Will Lead

Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Lead and execute month-end and quarter-end close processes under US GAAP
• Prepare and review P&L and balance sheet analysis, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, close calendars, and timelines
• Support preparation of technical accounting memos, including impact analysis of new standards
• Develop and present statutory financial statements in alignment with India GAAP / Ind-AS
• Act as primary liaison for statutory audits, including coordination with external and internal auditors

Tax Compliance

• Manage and ensure compliance with Direct and Indirect Tax filings (Corporate Tax Returns, GST, TDS, etc.)
• Collaborate with the Corporate Tax team on transfer pricing processes and related documentation
• Partner on tax audits, notices, and local entity compliance reviews, including preparation of white papers and audit documentation
• Drive consistent updates to ensure statutory tax compliance aligns with local regulations and corporate standards

Process Improvement & Systems Leadership

• Identify and implement process improvement opportunities using technology and automation
• Collaborate on system implementation projects, ensuring localization of accounting requirements
• Contribute to broader finance transformation and global initiatives beyond your core role
• Drive internal control effectiveness, ensuring ICFR compliance and audit readiness

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Build strong working relationships with GBS FP&A, Treasury, Legal, CAO, and Corporate Tax
• Proactively lead change by influencing processes, controls, and systems to scale accounting operations
• Educate business partners on statutory obligations, drive compliance, and support strategic projects
