Summary:
The General Manager acts as a local executive sponsor and enablement leader for the Global Shared Services Center, supporting employees and managers in delivering against globally defined objectives.

Global Shared Services – Leadership, Guidance & Consistency
- Serve as the site and regional leader for the Global Shared Services Center, providing leadership presence, guidance, and support to shared services employees and people managers.
- Act as a coach and mentor to shared services leaders and team members, supporting professional development, leadership effectiveness, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ensure consistent application of global strategies, operating models, policies, and standards as defined by global functional, operational, and process owners.
- Partner closely with global process owners and functional leaders to support execution of enterprise objectives within the shared services environment.
- Provide local support and escalation for shared services teams, helping resolve cross-functional issues, remove barriers, and align priorities across regions.
- Reinforce a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, collaboration, and service excellence, without owning day-to-day task execution.
- Support organizational change by helping teams understand the intent and impact of global initiatives and how they translate locally.
- Act as a connector between global leadership and local teams, ensuring effective communication, feedback loops, and issue resolution.
- Promote consistency in service delivery, governance, and ways of working across functions housed within the shared services center.
- Collaborate with HR and functional leaders on talent development, engagement, workforce planning, and succession, while respecting established reporting lines.
Role Clarity:
This position does not directly manage daily work assignments or individual performance objectives for shared services employees. Direction, goal setting, and performance management remain with employees direct managers and global functional leadership. This role focuses on leadership presence, coaching, alignment, and consistency.
Regional IT Leader Responsibilities
- Support and drive the global IT strategy in region, aligned with global IT standards and security requirements.
- Ensure reliable, secure, and scalable IT infrastructure, applications, integrations, and end-user services across the region.
- Serve as the regional escalation point for critical IT incidents, risk management, compliance, and business continuity planning.
- Drive adoption of global IT platforms and solutions while ensuring alignment with regional regulatory, operational, and business requirements.
- Partner closely with global IT leadership on architecture decisions, investments, prioritization, and long-term technology strategy.
- Support digital transformation initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, data visibility, and business enablement.
- Partner with regional leadership to identify strategic needs and critical issues while also communicating current IT activities, policies, and other timely information.
Financial, Strategic & Enterprise Leadership
- Own budget planning and cost management for the Shared Services Center (where applicable) and regional IT operations.
- Drive productivity, efficiency, and value realization through standardization, automation, and technology enablement.
- Represent shared services and regional IT interests in executive and cross-functional leadership discussions.

- Demonstrated experience working in matrixed, global organizations, influencing outcomes without direct authority.
- Strong background in IT governance, cybersecurity, enterprise systems, and digital transformation.
- Proven ability to lead through coaching, influence, and collaboration, rather than directive control.
- Experience supporting or operating within global shared service or center-of-excellence models strongly preferred.
