  • Monitoring Tools like wavefront, splunk.
  • Troubleshooting skills of Java Stack
  • Good communication skills.
  • AWS/K8S knowledge
  • Experience in handling incidents and recovering the systems.

Responsibilities

  • Handle PagerDuty, Slack, Email,
  • Don't snooze the Alert and your mobile.
  • Don't Assume and always validate alerts
  • Respond to page within couple of minutes
  • Priority is always Pages/ Customer.
  • Fix the Runbooks.
  • Inform Secondary & Team when you are involved in an Incident. Inform over slack and call up if no one joins when you need.
  • Keep Runbooks, Dashboards, Automation handy (bookmark them) and always keep the local repos of automation to latest.
  • Engage #ioc for engagement with other teams in Intuit. Don't hesitate to open Incident.
  • Few important slack to keep yourself informed about Intuit wide are #ioc, #p1-4incnotification
