Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Architecture Design: Design and implement AWS infrastructure components such as VPCs, EC2, EKS, S3, tagging schemes, CloudFormation, etc.
  • Automation Architecture: Architect deployment and management automation for cloud-based infrastructure and software solutions, leveraging tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, Helm, and Ansible.
  • Configuration Management: Architect and implement the use of configuration management tools for both Windows and Linux environments, using CloudFormation, Salt, Ansible, and other automation tools.
  • High Availability and Recovery: Ensure that cloud-based architectures meet the required availability and recoverability standards.
  • Cloud-based Monitoring and Alerting: Architect and implement cloud-based monitoring, alerting, and reporting solutions using tools like Datadog, Logz.io, InfluxDb, CloudWatch, Catchpoint, ELK, and Grafana.
  • Tooling and Enablement: Provide support and guidance on the tools needed to enable teams for greater output, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Tech Solutions and Innovation: Stay up to date with the latest technological solutions and trends. Be able to dive into the details of the architecture as necessary.
  • Collaboration with Team Leads: Collaborate with Team Leads to identify improvement areas, prepare architecture roadmaps, and advocate for necessary changes with the Product Management group.

Required Qualifications:

  • B.S./B.E. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in managing AWS infrastructure.
  • 10+ years of experience in systems engineering or cloud architecture.
  • Proven experience with cloud-based automation and infrastructure management.
  • Strong proficiency in AWS services (e.g., EC2, EKS, VPC, S3, CloudFormation).
  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Helm, Salt).
  • Experience in architecting cloud-based monitoring and alerting solutions (e.g., Datadog, CloudWatch, Grafana, Logz.io, InfluxDb).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and high availability.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a customer-first mindset.
