We are looking for a highly motivated and technically strong Urban Designer to join our Urbanism & Transaction Advisory team in Mumbai. The role involves working on large-scale master planning, urban design, infrastructure, institutional campuses, public realm projects, government developments, and transaction advisory assignments across India.
The ideal candidate should be capable of independently handling projects from concept planning through statutory coordination and client presentations while mentoring junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead urban design and master planning projects from concept to detailed planning.
- Prepare land use plans, development frameworks, urban design guidelines, and implementation strategies.
- Develop site planning, campus planning, township planning, mixed-use developments, healthcare, institutional, sports, transport, and government projects.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including architecture, landscape, transport, infrastructure, environment, and MEP consultants.
- Undertake site analysis, GIS studies, zoning analysis, and planning due diligence.
- Prepare high-quality presentations, reports, design narratives, and graphical documentation.
- Support transaction advisory assignments by assisting in highest and best use studies, development potential assessments, PPP projects, concession planning, financial feasibility inputs, and bid documentation.
- Participate in client meetings, workshops, stakeholder consultations, and government presentations.
- Coordinate statutory approvals and planning submissions with local authorities.
- Mentor junior architects and urban designers and ensure high-quality project delivery.
Required Skills
- Master's degree in Urban Design
- 8-10 years of professional experience in urban design and master planning.
- Strong design thinking with excellent planning and analytical abilities.
- Experience in institutional campuses, townships, healthcare, mixed-use developments, public infrastructure, or government projects.
- Excellent presentation and graphic communication skills.
- Strong understanding of planning regulations, development control regulations, and statutory processes.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage project timelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
