Job overview and responsibility
We are looking for a Senior Unity Technical Artist with a strong background in web-based 3D design and a passion for gaming. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with tools like Unity and a solid understanding of the video game asset production pipeline. Your collaboration with frontend engineers will be crucial in bringing our web and mobile games to life
What You Will Do
- Develop and maintain the art production workflow and asset pipeline
- Create and manage 2D and 3D assets in Unity
- Work closely with frontend engineers to integrate art assets into web games
- Ensure that art assets are optimized for performance without compromising visual quality
- Provide technical support to the art team, streamlining processes and solving complex technical issues
Required skills and experiences
- 6+ years of relevant experience in a technical art role within the gaming industry
- 4+ years of experience with Unity
- VFX and animation proficiency
- Deep understanding of technical requirements of mobile game development
- Strong knowledge of the video game asset production pipeline
- Proficient at 3D modeling, rigging, and UV texturing with professional 3D software such as Maya, ZBrush, Blender
- Scripting with C#
- Proficient with optimizing 3D and 2D assets for memory and performance considerations
- Proficient with Photoshop
- Collaborative and self-motivated
- Fluent English
Preferred skills and experiences
- Technical background in developing scripts, Photoshop actions, and other automation tools necessary for art implementation and optimization
- Ability to support the game team with troubleshooting and technical assistance
- Strong problem-solving methodology
