Title: Sr Test Engineer
Exp: 6 to 10 Years
Location: Hyderabad
Working hours: 12.00pm to 9.00pm
Responsibilities
Manual Testing (Primary)
- Analyse business, functional, and technical requirements and identify test scope
- Design, review, and execute test scenarios and detailed test cases
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, sanity, smoke, and UAT testing
- Identify, log, track, and retest defects using tools like JIRA / Azure DevOps
- Participate in requirement discussions, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and defect triage
- Validate data using basic SQL queries as required
- Ensure adherence to defined QA processes and quality standards
- Provide test status reports, defect metrics, and quality sign-offs
- Coordinate closely with Dev, Product, and Business teams
Automation Testing
- Ability to understand and execute existing automation scripts
- Identify manual regression test cases suitable for automation
- Basic experience or exposure to test automation tools such as:
- Selenium / Playwright/Appium
- Working knowledge of any scripting/programming language:
- Java / TypeScript
- Exposure to API testing using tools like Postman
- Willingness to upskill and contribute more to automation over time
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of STLC, SDLC, defect life cycle
- Excellent hands-on experience in manual testing
- Experience testing Web applications (Mobile is a plus)
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience working with test management and defect tracking tools
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Automation testing exposure
- CI/CD awareness (Jenkins, Git, etc.)
- Domain experience (Banking, Healthcare, Insurance, E‑commerce, etc.)
- Attention to detail and quality mindset
- Proactive and ownership-driven approach
- Ability to mentor junior QA members
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
