Job title: Sr Technical Specialist

The Software technologist (this position) will be developing the Philips API, Micro services and FrontEnd applications that expose and orchestrate functionality of various services both internal and that of 3rd party software. He/She will participate in the realisation of the platform approach across central horizontal teams and function specific vertical teams.u00A0

The Software technologist (this position) will collaborate with the vertical teams in the development and LCM of the services developed.

We are looking for

u00B7u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0 Bacheloru2019s degree in engineering (computer science or equivalent) with 10+ yearsu2019 experience. This experience should include expertise in creating micro services that have adopted a managed API way of working targeting cloud deployments.

u00B7u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0 Expertise in developing FrontEnd Applications in React/Angular.

u00B7u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0 Expertise in developing services using SOA/Rest/Micro Service patterns and the associated programming languages used [Java, Python, Go, NodeJSu2026]

u00B7u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0 Experience in designing APIs, common services in a given domain.

u00B7u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0 Experience with cloud technologies offered by public cloud providers and its associated middleware and popular programming languages

u00B7u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0 Experience with Open API Specification and API documentation tools (such as Swagger and Postman)

u00B7u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0 The role will be part of a geographically distributed team. This will need a global mindset and an ability to work with geographically distributed teams across time zones.

u00B7u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0 The individual should have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken

u00B7u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0 Should be a team player working as part of cross functional teams composed of IT, R&D, operations, and service across business and markets

u00B7u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0 Ability to appreciate multiple domains (within healthcare and wellness) and their overlaps

u00B7u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0 Should be sensitive to cultural differences in globally spread teams

How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the companyu2019s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the companyu2019s main facilities, generally at the customersu2019 or suppliersu2019 locations.
