Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Infra Ops Specialist with 10 to 13 years of experience in managing and maintaining Juniper Firewall Juniper VPN and Switching & Routing Juniper. The role involves ensuring the smooth operation of our network infrastructure in a hybrid work model with day shifts. No travel is required.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of Juniper Firewall systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Strong understanding of network protocols and technologies including TCP IP BGP OSPF EIGRP and MPLS
- Expertise in configuring managing and troubleshooting Juniper routers and switches including but not limited to the MX EX and QFX series
- Experience with network security practices and technologies including Fortinet firewalls and VPN.
- Ability to analyze network performance conduct security assessments and resolve complex network issues
- Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintaining network performance and security
- Excellent communication skills for effective documentation and collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Provide expert support and troubleshooting for Juniper VPN to ensure secure and reliable remote access for users.
- Manage and configure Juniper Switching & Routing to maintain efficient network traffic flow and connectivity.
- Monitor network performance and conduct regular assessments to identify and resolve potential issues proactively.
- Implement network upgrades and patches to keep the infrastructure up-to-date and secure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement network solutions that meet business requirements.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations processes and procedures.
- Conduct regular network audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
- Provide training and support to junior team members to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.
- Lead incident response efforts to quickly resolve network-related issues and minimize downtime.
- Analyze network performance data to identify trends and recommend improvements for efficiency and reliability.
- Ensure network security by implementing and maintaining robust firewall policies and VPN configurations.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve network operations.
Qualifications
- Possess extensive experience in managing and maintaining Juniper Firewall systems.
- Demonstrate strong expertise in configuring and troubleshooting Juniper VPN.
- Have in-depth knowledge of Juniper Switching & Routing and its application in network management.
- Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Show proficiency in network monitoring tools and techniques.
- Display strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Hold relevant certifications such as Juniper Networks Certified Internet Specialist (JNCIS) or equivalent.
